The benefits of living soil

Many places on Earth are home to lush forests without anyone interfering in plant growth by fertilizing or applying pesticides. The soil would therefore not need to be weeded, hoeed, turned, fertilized and treated for the plants to grow vigorously.

Description

  • Basalt is a good nitrogen fixer whose action is essential for the development of plant stems and foliage.
  • It is suitable for all types of soil, whether acidic or basic.
  • Micro and macrofauna ingest the basalt to restore it in the form of humus rich in trace elements. It therefore contributes to soil warming and the revitalization of exhausted soils.
  • Added to sandy soils, it improves their water retention; added to heavy soils, it lightens them and improves air circulation.
  • Also useful as a compost activator.
  • The conservation of basalt poses no problem since it does not alter over time.
  • For the vegetable garden and flower beds, incorporate 2 kg of basalt per 9,2 m2.
  • Ideal as a soil amendment, but also in foliar application.
