This species differs from our field strawberry and cultivated strawberries with cream-yellowish fruits and plants that do not produce stolons. It comes from an ancient line prized for its very sweet fruits produced constantly all season long, until frost.
The nectar-producing white flowers attract many pollinating insects. Because the fruits do not have a stalk, they fall off on their own when ripe. Additionally, they must be eaten or processed quickly, as they spoil shortly after picking.
Due to its tall shape, this exceptional strawberry plant is suitable for growing in a planter, but also as a ground cover.
