The rounded grains of Black Dakota pop perfectly for a premium snack, high in fiber and protein, but low in calories. Because of their rich flavor and crunchy texture, some even say they enjoy them for dinner on occasion!
Robust plants 1,2 to 1,8 m tall produce magnificent spikes 13-20 cm long. For the kernels to pop well, the ears must be left in the field to dry.
When too many grains do not burst, soak them in water for 2 to 3 minutes, then dry them briefly before putting them in the pot. You can also store dried corn kernels in an airtight container in the freezer. When ready to use, let the beans sit at room temperature for 5 to 10 minutes so they absorb condensed moisture in the air and pop perfectly.
