Head lettuce Wonder of the 4 seasons – Organic

Lactuca sativa var. capitata

4.49$

This variety of head lettuce has been cultivated in France since the end of the 19th century.e century. It is sometimes called the “black-seeded Besson”. It produces beautiful, large lettuces with tight hearts whose two-tone leaves have an apple green base and red tips. It gets its name from the fact that it tolerates hotter summer weather better than others. When heated, it retains its mild flavor. It is still better to harvest it as soon as it is formed to avoid going to seed. The trick is to do several consecutive sowings a few days apart. This allows you not to have too many lettuces ready all at the same time.

Number of days for harvest: 55 – 60 days

Available at the ecoumene only
