Head lettuce Red iceberg – Organic

Lactuca sativa var. capitata

4.49$

The beautiful, rather tight apple, 25 cm in diameter, consists of crisp, dark wine-red leaves that are almost black in the sun. The part of the leaves protected from light remains green for a very attractive two-tone effect in salads. The sweet flavor of the leaves is most pleasant both at the mature stage and when they are young leaves.

This variety resists heat better than other iceberg lettuces and goes to seed late. In addition, its nutritional value is higher than that of green leafy varieties.

Number of days for harvest: Young leaves: 30 | Mature leaves: 60

Available at the ecoumene only
