Full Golden White Celery – Organic

Apium graveolens

4.49$

This heirloom variety of Parisian origin has been around since 1883, but its flavorful stems have lost none of their popularity over the decades. And for good reason! The rather stocky and robust plants are made up of thick and wide gutter-shaped ribs, with a very crunchy texture and without threads. These ribs whiten naturally to become a beautiful pale yellow. They are covered with abundant aromatic foliage, pale green with golden highlights. We eat them raw, but we also make a spicy soup with a good celery taste, without bitterness. This early variety is harvested after 90 days. Like all celery, 'Plein Blanc Doré' prefers temperate and cool conditions and is best sown during the waning moon, for a higher yield.

To succeed in growing celery, also take care to enrich the soil with a generous supply of compost and wood ash. Celery does not tolerate drought; don't let it run out of water and cover the ground at its feet with a good layer of mulch.

Number of days for harvest: 100

Due to a low germination rate (70%), we have increased the number of seeds per packet to 135 instead of 120.
