Ruby Queen Beet – Organic

Beta vulgaris

4.49$

Classic beetroot forming a beautiful bright red rounded root whose flesh offers a soft and tender texture with a light buttery scent. This variety received the All-America Selections award in 1957 for its beauty and flavor in a selection of the twelve best varieties of all time!
It is picked when its diameter reaches 4 to 5 cm for maximum flavor and tenderness. Given the resistance of beet plants to cool conditions, it is preferable to sow them early in spring, as soon as the soil can be worked, and to sow successively to spread out production. Also, sowing at the end of summer allows you to extend the harvest season and enjoy longer.

You can also eat its foliage as steamed greens, like spinach, or in a lettuce mix when young. The root is perfect to use fresh, canned, pickled or frozen.

Number of days for harvest: 55 to 65 days
