Bred by Luther Burbank in 1909, the Sunberry produces countless small, dark purplish-blue, matte fruits that are very pleasant to the taste and make delicious jams, pies and other desserts. The shrubby plant grows very quickly in all types of soil to reach 50 cm in height. It is easy to grow, sometimes reseeds itself and produces early in the season.

This variety requires a period of layering 28 days in the cold in moist potting soil.
