Listen to your tomatoes

Your tomato plants are lush and several clusters, still green, will ripen slowly in the coming weeks. To guarantee quality fruit production, it is important to remain attentive to the signals sent by your exhausted plants.

Little sparrow cherry tomato – Organic

Solanum pimpinellifolium

4.49$

The “Petit Moineau” tomato began to make headlines around 1950, when it was grown in the Châteauguay region. Barely larger than a 10 cent coin, this exceptional variety forms a bush which gives its first red fruits towards the end of July, continuing to produce until the first frost, and even more, if the plant is protected. These small fruits with a mild and sweet flavor are eaten like candy. One plant grows up to 1,5 m in height and can produce nearly 4 kg of tomatoes the size of a large blueberry. It is therefore recommended to install a teepee structure to support the branches; a cage or stake is not sufficient.
