Solanaceae Solanum lycopersicum Annuelle

As its name suggests, the yellow fruits of this variety take the shape of a pear. Its very ancient origins date back to the 16th century, in Europe, where we find its name in certain writings. Records from 1752 indicate that the English used it in soups. Indeterminate in growth, the plant produces abundant and generous clusters of sweet fruits that have above-average cold tolerance. We can therefore harvest them later in the season. The average weight of each fruit is between 10 and 15 g, but their high number on each cluster requires the installation of a tomato cage or a sturdy support. They are delicious plain, but their sometimes floury texture is also suitable for cooking in braised dishes, skewers and soups!
Number of days for harvest: 75
