Introduction to picking wild spring plants

This workshop is part of a series of introductory gathering workshops developed for each season and will allow you to come into contact with a little-known or forgotten world: that of mushrooms and wild plants. These workshops present different specimens and can therefore be followed in series or à la carte according to your needs.

At the end of this workshop, you will be able to recognize the main NTFPs to harvest in spring. You can, just like our ancestors did, add them to your table as an accompaniment, as a herbal tea or use them for therapeutic purposes with different recipe ideas that will be presented to you.

During her thirty-year career in urban planning, your trainer Céline Bouchard was particularly interested in the protection and development of natural environments in Montreal. Greatly passionate about mushrooms and wild plants for healing and nourishment, she followed training in the identification and collection of non-timber forest products (NTFP). In 2016, she created her company, the Vitaforêt workshop, whose mission is to raise awareness of NTFPs through training and harvesting activities in respect of the natural environment.
