Description
- Attracts bees and other pollinators
- Rather slow growth and similar to that of common white clover
- Spreads by stolons
- Prefers cool, moist soils, but adapts very well to all soil types
- Ideal companion to several lawn grasses
- Ability to compete with several “weeds”
- Discourages many pests when used with lawn grasses
- Naturally produces fewer flowers than common white clover
- Very good hardiness (zone 3 and 4, if good snow cover)
- Requires regular mowing to maintain its dwarf size
- Sow with lawn grasses, preferably
- Does not produce any felt. Therefore, high risk of frost in winter if used alone (pure culture: without lawn grasses)
- Tolerates severe (short) pruning
- Height at maturity if not mowed: more than 8 inches (+20 cm)
