The dark green fruits are very uniform and measure between 7 and 10 cm long with a diameter of approximately 3,5 cm. Their mild, sweet flavor is never bitter. This old variety was introduced in 1854 with a more widespread distribution in 1888. Very hardy, its abundant production spreads over a long period from the start of the season until the frosts of autumn.
